Specialist Medicals

We can offer a range of specialist medical examinations, from ENG1 seafarer to wind turbine medicals. Some of the specialist medical examinations we offer can be seen below, if the service you require is not listed please contact us.

An ENG1 Seafarers medical is the main medical fitness certification for employees working at sea. An approved doctor for the Marine and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is required to issue the ENG1 certificate after a full medical has taken place.

Please ensure you bring some form of photo ID with you to this medical. Driving Licence or Passport are acceptable

Employees wishing to work offshore will need to pass an offshore medical examination.

OGUK medicals are valid for 2 years and will permit the employee to work in the UK or the North Sea.

Employees wishing to work on Norwegian vessels will need to pass a Norwegian offshore medical examination.

Under new guidelines the OGUK Oil & Gas Medical certificate will enable employees to work in Norwegian waters so there is no need to obtain this separate certificate.

The Liberian & Panamanian medical is very similar to the OGUK medical and will allow employees to work in Liberian & Panamanian waters.

This can be issued at the same time as an OGUK certificate.

Employees working with asbestos will need to undergo an initial medical examination to assess the employee’s health prior to working with asbestos.

Please ensure you know your national insurance number if you are attending for this medical

Employees who have been exposed to ionising radiation due to working within the nuclear industry; medical and dental practices, manufacturing, construction, offshore drilling and non-destructive testing must have an initial IR medical assessment followed by an annual medical assessment or paper review.

We can provide professional drivers medical examinations for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Large Goods Vehicles (LGV), Public Service Vehicles (PSV) and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV).
